David A. Binter, age 74, of Tomah WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Cranberry Court in Tomah.

Born on April 5, 1952, to Frank and Ada (Marana) Binter, David was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin and grew up in Elroy, Wisconsin, where he was a graduate from Royall High School. David met the love of his life, Barbara Bailey, and they were married on May 6, 1978, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Tomah, Wisconsin and later raised three beautiful daughters together. David built a proud career in production and manufacturing, bringing his dependable presence to a few select companies over the years, including TORO manufacturing, LEER manufacturing, and most recently retiring from MECA Sportswear. He possessed an old-school work ethic, rarely missing a day and always giving his absolute best. Every bit of hard labor was fueled by his love for his family, ensuring they were always provided for and protected.

Outside of work, David had a passion for growing plants. From his precious trees and lilac bushes to his raspberry patches, he was always nurturing his garden. He will always be remembered for his green thumb.

His Catholic Faith was a guiding force throughout his life. As an active member of Queen of the Apostles Catholic Parish (formerly Saint Mary’s Church), David kept God at the forefront of his life. His family takes comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and that they will see him again in Heaven one day.

David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Binter; his loving children, Crystal (Greg) Rezin, Raquel (Don) Fortun, and Britany Boak; his grandchildren, Halle, Cade, Ella, Emma, Justin, and Nora. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, Ron (Jane) Binter, Debbie (Ron) Nachtigal, and Janice Binter (Darrell Pope), and siblings-in-law, Karen Bailey, Michael (Jean) Bailey, Thomas (Joan) Bailey, Lois Bailey, Linda (Carlos) Cabasos, Patty Bailey, as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ada, his mother-in-law Frances Bailey, and father-in-law, Bernard Bailey. He is further preceded by John and Teresa Langmeier, his sister-in-law, Jean Bailey, and brothers-in-law, Howard Bailey and Gerald Bailey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Apostles Parish in Tomah. Father Ethan Hokamp will officiate.
