Darwin W. Kuehl, age 79, formerly of Sparta, passed away May 19, 2025. He was born December 26, 1945 in Tacoma, WA. At the age of 1 his parents decided to move back to Wisconsin to run the family farm.
Darwin was a 1963 graduate of Tomah High School and later met the love of his life Donna Knutson, they then married and celebrated 57 years together.
Darwin was employed by Fort McCoy until he retired, then decided to work for Walmart until he fully retired.
He is survived by his wife Donna, son Bill (Candy) Kuehl and stepson, Darrell Ball, sisters, Bernadine Moseley, Barb (Randy) Eirschele, Kathy (Dave) Lincoln, sister-in-law, Franny (LeRoy) Simonson, many grandkids and great grandkids.
Darwin and Donna decided to move to Florida after his stroke so he could get the care he needed by Candy and Bill. Darwin passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 19.
Darwin was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristine Kuehl, parents, Arnold and Marie Kuehl, brother, Bob Kuehl, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Leona Knutson, sister-in-law, Barb McMurtie, brothers-in-law, Bob Knutson and Dwight Moseley.
Cremation will take place in Florida and a celebration of life will take place at a later date in Sparta, Wisconsin.
