It is with great sadness we share the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. Cynthia “Cindy” Taylor, 65 of Black River Falls, was called home on March 29th, 2025 surrounded by her family which was her greatest joy.
Cindy was born on May 28th, 1959 to parents David and Betty (Simonson) Anderson in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. She grew up on her family’s farm in Melrose and graduated with the class of 1977. She later went on to receive an Office Computer Specialist Degree from the WWTC La Crosse where she graduated with honors.
For three years, Cindy was a late night Admitting Clerk at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Sparta. She then held many positions with the Ho-Chunk Nation in Black River Falls that spanned over 22 years. She became an asset to the Tribe holding positions such as Accountant, Administrative Assistant and most recently the Division Coordinator at the Tribal Aging Unit. Out of all the titles that she has had, her favorite were Mom, Grama, and Great Grama.
Cindy is survived by her husband Stuart Taylor; children, Jay (Tisha) Marco of Holmen, Jamie (Stacy) Hanson of Colorado, and Janelle (Eduardo) Campos of Sparta; grandchildren, Matthew Marco, Alexandria (Drew) Schroeder, Dillan (Emma) Marco, Aylah Hanson, Jalena Campos, Leticia Campos and Esayah Campos; great grandchild, Crew Marco; step children, Jackie (John) Ennis and Stuart Jr.; step grandchildren, Stuart lll, Camille, John lll, Noah; brothers, Brian (Laura) Anderson of Melrose, Brad (Carol) Anderson of Melrose, Brent Anderson of La Crosse, and Brooke (Tara) Anderson of Melrose; step children of the White family; pets, Onyx, Carley, Lily, Jedi, Honey; former spouse, James Marco; and many many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Betty Anderson; maternal and paternal grandparents, Matt (Jenny) Anderson and Edward (Mabel) Simonson; former spouses, Leo Vanderwall and Woodrow White, great niece, Brilyn and her pets, Ella and Shadoe amongst other loved ones.
To all who knew and loved her, funeral services will be held on Thursday April 3rd, 2025 at 12:00 pm with visitation from 10:30am up until the time of service at the South Beaver Creek Lutheran Church in Ettrick. Burial and luncheon to follow. Pastor John Ashland will officiate. A visitation will be held Wednesday April 2nd, from 6-8 pm at the Zwickey Funeral Home in Melrose. Zwickey Funeral Home, Melrose, is assisting the family with arrangements.
