Connie M. Storkel, 65, of Tomah, died Monday, September 22, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. She was born August 28, 1960, to Vilas and Phyllis (Zimmerman) Britzman at the Mauston Hospital. She was a member of the Royall High School Graduating Class of 1978. Connie was united in marriage to Stephen Storkel on July 17, 1982, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church Tomah. She worked for many years at the Tomah Co-op, the Mauston Co-op before retiring from the Allied Co-Op in 2022. She was an outdoors person and had a passion for flowers and plants. She had a big flower garden and enjoyed being outside and mowing the lawn. She had a creative personality and enjoyed decorating and making crafts. She especially enjoyed going to estate/garage sales with Steve and hunting for seashells on the beach. Most important to Connie was her big family. She was the glue that held things together and was the “go to” for everyone. Connie was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She loved babysitting, making her special pancakes upon request, and snuggling with her kids and grandkids. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Steve of Tomah, 2 daughters, Dana (Travis) Reinart of Howard, Stacy (Derek) Martin of Tomah, her grandchildren, Chloe, Blair, Sadie, Carson, and Dexter, mother-in-law, Joanne Storkel, brothers and sisters, Karen (Bobby) Nicols of Mauston, Don (Denise) Britzman of Kendall, LeAnn (Paul) Neitzel of Tomah, Larry (Michelle) Britzman of LaValle, David (Kathy) Britzman of Kendall, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kris (Steve) Kuhl of Tomah, Todd (Patty) Storkel of Warrens, Jill (Scott) Garrett of Melbourne, FL, and Chad (Cindy) Storkel of Warrens, and her godchildren, Troy Kuhl, Terri Paulson, Zachary Schroeder, and Hannah Neitzel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vilas and Phyllis and father-in-law, Gary Storkel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, 11:00 AM at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Conrad Prell and Pastor Mark Kahrs will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.

Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah and on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
