Clinton LeRoy Meacham, 81, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the presence of his loving family at the Serenity House in Tomah, following a courageous long-fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. Clint was born in Tomah on January 19, 1944, to Ora (Bud) and Vesta (Straight) Meacham.

On January 29, 1966, Clint was united in marriage to the love of his life, his “honey bear,” Shirley Parker. One daughter was born to this union. As a father, Clint instilled strong values in Dawn, quoting often Galatians 6:7, “You reap what you sow.”

Clint began working at a young age, frequently holding two jobs to provide for his family. He dedicated 33 years, to the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tomah, retiring as the engineer foreman, where he oversaw all grounds operations. Clint took great pride in his work and the relationships he formed during his years at the VA. Not one to sit still, shortly after retiring from the VA, Clint drove a supply truck for Kwik Trip until 2017.

A faithful and active member of Grace Haven Church in Ontario, Clint was well known for his love of music. He cherished worshipping with his church family. Clint was a true outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially treasured his annual spring and fall trips to the Boundary Waters with his brother-in-law John Lyman, adventuring there for more than three decades. Clint could always be found, dancing or playing the piano. He took great pleasure in attending Green Bay Packers games with his longtime friends from the VA. Above all else, his greatest pride were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In his later years, every morning Clint could be found at Natural Connection in Tomah savoring his scone and Americana. Clint was truly a humble, loving, and nonjudgmental man who lived by the words, “I treat people the way I would want to be treated.”

Clint is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Dawn (Randy) Sletten; grandsons, Cody (Shanda) Sletten, Trevor (Kayla) Sletten, Adam (Katrina) Sletten, and Isaiah (Lacey) Sletten; 10 great-grandchildren, Shayna, Cylus, Shy, Abel, Aubrey, Archie Clinton, Nadia, Ember, Autumn, and Asher; sister, Lorraine (David) Adams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brenda Meacham, Delores James, Verlin (Marion) Parker, Norma (John) Lyman, Larry (Elizabeth Gay) Parker, Carol Schultz, Sharon (Bill) Lorenz, Cindy Fagan, MaryKay (Dan) Overby, Linda (Bill) Meyer, Rita (Pat) Cunningham, Pattie (Lewis) Libbey, Denise (Greg) Henderson, Dennis (Tammy) Parker, Alan Parker, and Sally Parker.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Meacham; his in-laws, Donald and Leona Parker, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Donna (Johnny) Polizzi, Eddie Parker, Donnie Parker, Danny Fagan, Walter, Link Rixie, and Bob James.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Cecilia at Mayo Clinic, the Morrow Home in Sparta, and the Serenity Home in Tomah for all their exceptional care over the past several months. A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Bob for his friendship, fellowship, and spiritual guidance throughout the years.
