TOMAH- Brenda J. Solum, age 79, of Tomah, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, after a brief illness.  She was born on August 21, 1944, in Tomah, Wisconsin to Roy “Babe” and Colene (Lambert) Harp.

Before Brenda found her forever love, Lloyd, with whom she united on January 25, 1969, she was briefly married to LaVern Woodard, a union that blessed her with her daughters, Debra and Lisa. Professionally, Brenda dedicated 41 years to Dean’s Refrigeration, where her diligent work in the office was a testament to her strong work ethic and commitment. She served her community with pride as the Town of Grant Clerk.

First and foremost, family was everything to Brenda.  She never missed a gathering or event and being together brought her great happiness.  Brenda found joy in the thrill of casinos, the intricate beauty of diamond painting, and the excitement of planning travels. A mother with a strict yet sassy approach, Brenda instilled the importance of family traditions, creating a loving bond that will be treasured for generations.
