Albert Martin Fandel, Jr., 77, Sparta, WI, Died peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 14, 2025.
He was born June 1, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN to Albert Sr. and Agnes Fandel of Ladysmith. In 1970, he married his love Janet and started a family together.
Albert proudly served our country in the Army. He was stationed over in Germany for a short time. Once he returned, he worked at Camp McCoy painting military vehicles and doing mechanic work. He also worked driving soldiers back and forth to O’Hair airport in Chicago.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and spending time with family. He and Janet loved watching Packer games and rooting for their favorite quarterbacks.
Albert is survived by his children Brian Fandel of Broomfield, Colorado and Denise (Dave) Markos, and grandchildren Jeffrey and Brittany Johnson of La Crosse, along with his sister Sister Rosemary Fandel, OSM of Ladysmith.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet, an infant daughter Tracy Lee and son Eric Paul, along with his parents and sister Dorthy Ann Volkman.
The service will be on Tuesday November 25th, 2025 at 11 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sparta. Luncheon to follow the service in the church basement.
