   TOMAH - William “Bill” H. Taylor 71 of Tomah and formerly Wausau, died Friday June 17, 2022 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital Tomah. He was born May 4, 1951 to James and Irene (Weiss) Taylor in Wausau, WI.

   He was a member of the D.C. Everest-Schofield Graduating Class of 1970. After graduating high school, Bill joined the U. S. Navy. Bill enjoyed traveling. He often would take long car rides to visit family and friends. He learned to cook in the service and became an accomplished chef in the kitchen. Bill loved watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers play football. He also liked the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team and went to a couple games with veteran’s groups. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as a young man.

   He is survived by his brother Larry (Jill) Taylor of Wausau, a nephew David Taylor of Weston, WI, a niece Erin (Joe) Miller and a great niece Lydia of Rice Lake, WI, an aunt Joyce Greening of Neenah, WI and other relatives and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Irene Taylor and a brother James.

   A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, 1:00P.M. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 235962 North Troy St. Wausau WI. Pastor Philip C. Schneider will officiate. Military honors will be provided.
