Seventh-inning rally leads Tomah softball past La Crosse Central

The Tomah softball team was able to rally back late with nine runs in the seventh inning of their game against La Crosse Central. As a result, the Timberwolves were able to come away with a 15-7 victory Monday, April 11 in La Crosse.

In the top of the seventh inning, Alexis Hagen was able to get a double on a fly ball to center field that allowed Kennedy Noth to score. Hannah Van Treese singled on a line drive to the right field, and this allowed Alexis Hagen to get home for the score.

Olivia Wall then singled a line drive to center field that drove in Peyton Foster and Asha Eckelberg. Lauren Noth followed with a single that allowed Van Treese to score. Libby Mathison next drew a walk that brought in Wall. Kennedy Noth grounded out to the second base, but this allowed Lauren Noth to score.

Alexis Hagen then singled on a line drive to left field and brought in Maddie Johnson. Peyton Foster reached on an error by the shortstop, and this allowed Libby Mathison to score.

Lauren Noth finished the game with four hits, two runs and two RBIs. Olivia Wall had three hits, one run, and two RBIs. Alexis Hagen had three hits, one run and two RBIs.

Maddie Johnson pitched all seven innings. She allowed eight hits and seven runs on the night, but also recorded 10 strikeouts.
