Sparta Kiwanis Radio Days on Saturday

The Sparta Kiwanis Club will host it’s 22nd annual radio days. The event is sponsored by local businesses for the Kiwanis club to promote what is going on in the community.

Deb Smith & Michael Bonello will be opening the radio days session on Saturday at 8 a.m. Reinhardt Mueller, a member of Sparta Kiwanis will speak about the bridges in Sparta. Jerry Bisinger, a Sparta Kiwanis member will talk about the rich 100 year history of Kiwanis. Various other speakers will talk about other things going on in the community.

At Tuesday’s Sparta Kiwanis meeting, Michael Bonello stated, “we’re up to around $7,000 in donations, which is right around where we were last year.” Bill McClain, a Sparta Kiwanis member said, “Doug Dengel and I started Radio Days 22 years ago and our first year we had $1,164 in donations.

So listen to ESPN radio 1290 AM and 102.1 FM this Saturday from 8:00a.m to 12:00p.m to learn more about what Kiwanis does and what’s happening in the community.
