Sparta Crazy Daze this Saturday

Posted

This Saturday, Sparta will be filled with crazy deals throughout the city. The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce, in coordination with Sparta’s Downtown Cooperative, is hosting the annual Crazy Daze this Saturday starting at 7am to 3pm.

This annual event has a long history in Sparta, including many years of people lining up waiting for Arenz Shoes to open. Arenz Shoes is no longer in business, but the other local participating businesses hope to have a line out the door before opening on Saturday.

The Shop Small Movement that supports small businesses every day and everywhere, is not just for holiday shopping in November but is important all year long.  For every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community, supporting neighbors and friends and other local businesses.  So when you Shop Small —and all year long—it can help add up to a big impact.  By supporting local small business, you support the merchants who, in turn, support youth sports leagues, parent-teacher organizations, community service groups, high school student events, and other not-for-profit groups.

“Crazy Daze is known for bringing out the best deals of the year in Sparta, so get out and shop local on Saturday” said Heidi Prestwood, Executive Director and the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce.

There are punch cards available at all of the participating stores. Get a punch at each location for a chance to win great prizes donated by the participating businesses. You can return your full punch card at any of the participating businesses. For an extra entry you may go to the Sparta Area Chamber’s Facebook page and tag your favorite participating business on our Crazy Daze video post.

The local stores participating are Eddie’s Convenience Store, Second Season, Sparta Floral & Greenhouses, Ginny’s Cupboard, Search and Find LLC, Diver G Entertainment, J- Mart Japanese/Asian Grocery, Gamers Sanctum, A Healthy Touch Massage and Yoga Studio, Sears Hometown Store, Sparta Wisconsin Farmers Market, and Wesco Home Furnishings.
