NANCY JANE (nee HERRMAN) PETERSON

   Nancy was born in Monroe County, Wisconsin on February 23, 1936.

She married Donald Walter Peterson in 1957, and they moved to St. Paul, MN. They built their first home together in Little Canada, Minnesota in 1960. Nancy, Don, and their three children, immigrated to Bassano, Alberta, Canada in 1975, to start the company called Global Thermoelectric. Later they retired to Fort Steele, British Columbia, where they operated a quarter horse ranch, and after that they moved to Castlegar, British Columbia. When Don passed away, Nancy moved to Okotoks, Alberta, to be closer to family. Nancy graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, with a degree in Nursing and worked in the nursing field for many years. She was a member of numerous organizations through the years, however, her passion was volunteering in many different capacities, often related to healthcare, or helping others. Nancy enjoyed travelling, accomplished much through her life, and was particularly proud of her family. Nancy had a passion for curling, playing cards, loved knitting, golf, gardening, cooking/canning, and numerous crafts.

   Nancy is survived by her daughter, Joi, and her two sons, Wade (Lana), and Craig (Cynde), who all live in Alberta. Nancy had six grandchildren, Miranda, Chad, Sarah, Jennifer, Coleman, Curtis, and was blessed with ten great-grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by her sister, Judy Felland, in Michigan, her in-laws, Sally, Jerry, Kathy, Tom, Shelley, and as well, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Donald (2008), her parents Francis and Carrie Herrman, and her brother Stan Herrman.
