SPARTA-Linda J. (Lund) Vinson was born January 1, 1952, in Sparta, WI, to Duane and Lynette (Symmonds) Lund. From a previous marriage, 2 sons were born, Eric and Brian Brueggeman. In 1985 she married Terry Vinson.
Linda went to her heavenly home on August 2, 2024 at the age of 72 years, 7 months, and 2 days, at the Serenity House in Tomah, after battling cancer multiple times. Preceding her in death were her father, Duane Lund; mother, Lynette Ames; step-father, Richard Ames; sister, Rita; and her beloved son, Brian.
Linda was a spirited individual. She had a great sense of humor and could be quite the jokester at times. She was determined and feisty, achieving goals she set her mind to achieve, throughout her life. She especially enjoyed travelling and camping with her family in South Dakota, in her later years.
During her high school years, she participated in a beauty pageant. She went on to graduate from La Crescent High School in 1970. After high school, she worked as a loving and caring CNA at Rolling Hills and later, at the Tomah VA. She attended WWTC and earned a Business Admin, and later a Printing and Publishing Degree.
She is survived by husband, Terry; son, Eric Brueggeman; brother, Donald Lund; special cousin, Donna Dinino and special Uncle Jim, in Wyoming; brothers-in-law, Floyd, Butch, Howard, David, Joe, and Clifford; and sister-in-law, Sandy.

Per Linda’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at noon on August 24, 2024 at Bosshard Park, Sparta, Shelter # 1. Celebrants will be asked to bring a dish to pass. Pastor Dean Ciokiewicz will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Linda preferred memorials be sent to SACS, and Veteran’s Services. Online condolences may be offered at www.schanhoferfh.com.
