   TOMAH - Janice G. Tappa, 71, of Tomah, died Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Tomah Health Center. She was born April 1, 1951 to Rollie and Virgie (Burnett) Bailey. She grew up in the Crandon area. She was from a big family being 1 of 10 Bailey children. After high school she was united in marriage to Calvin Tappa on February 14, 1974 in Waukegan, IL. They lived in Racine until they moved back to the Tomah area. They lived on a small family homestead outside of Oakdale. Janice enjoyed spending her time listening to country music. She was an animal lover, and raised ducks and chickens, she had several dogs that she enjoyed curling up on the sofa with. She was outgoing and friendly. Janice loved her family very much. She will be sadly missed all that knew and loved her.

   She is survived by her husband Calvin Sr. of Tomah, 6 children, Calvin Jr, of Tomah, Amber of Tomah, Wendy Frye of Milwaukee, Savanna of Tomah, Jenna Adkins of Tomah and Aaron Adkins of Tomah, 11 grandchildren, Katelyn, Darlene, Talea, Lexus, Hayden, Orion, Olivia, Tiffany, Cain, Jolie, and Aaliyah, a sister Emily Jameson, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Elizabeth “Liz,” a grandson, Christopher Adkins, a daughter-in-law Amy Olson, 3 sisters, and 5 brothers.

   A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2022, 3:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St.

   Relative and friends are invited to call at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
