   TOMAH - James “Nąąği” W. Green, age 61, of Tomah, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Serenity House in Tomah.  He was born on July 10, 1961 to Lester and Ellen (Pushel) Green.  Jimmy proudly served in the United States Navy and was a jack of all trades, helping anybody in need.  He loved fishing, making his Native crafts, cooking for family and friends, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

   He is survived by his son, James Green; daughters, Lindsey Schmidt and Haley Reimer; Mother, Ellen Green; Significant other, Rose Scott and her daughter, Cecelia; granddaughter, Victoria Gill; sisters, Mary (Elliot) Funmaker, Stephanie (Jose Moreno) Green; brothers, Tony (Shari) Green, Scott (Carol) Green, Steve (Debbie) Green, Bryan (April) Green, Shane (Victoria) Green, Lonnie Calhoun and Waylen Green; along with his Madison “Madtown” East Siders family; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his Father, Lester Green; daughter, Sylvia Green; sister, Sandy; grandson, Reuben; brother, George; and sister-in-law, Michelle Thomas.

   Traditional Ho-Chunk Services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Blue Wing Community Center.  Henning Garvin will officiate.  Burial with full military honors will follow in the Blue Wing Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 5:00  until 7:00 PM at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah and also on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at the Blue Wing Community Center.  The

   Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.  Traditional Ho-Chunk wake services will be held Monday through Wednesday evening at the Blue Wing Community Center.
