SPARTA - Irene Lucille Dickenson, 102, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta.
Irene was a hardworking woman doing what she could to provide for her children. She worked as a cook or a waitress for several years in Sparta and Ft. McCoy. Irene also worked for a private daycare for a number of years.
Irene is survived by her children, Janet (La Vern) Williams, Glenn Dickenson, Stanley Dickenson; her grandchildren, Brad (Jackie) Williams, Dawn (Travis) Brooks, Gregory (Erin) Dickenson, Edward Dickenson, Fred Dickenson, Al Dickenson, Brayden Dickenson and Hannah Dickenson; great-grandchildren, Abby, Cole, Owen, Elizabeth and Jenna; a daughter-in-law, Sharron Dickenson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Dickenson; a son, Charles Dickenson; her daughter, Alice Parmenter; granddaughter, Stefanie Levesque (Williams); an infant grandson, Matthew Williams; son-in-law, Arlan Parmenter; and a daughter-in-law, Julie Fleming.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Pastor John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Leon Cemetery, Leon.
Family and friends are invited to call at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
