   OAKDALE - Harris “Harry” C. Dahle, 93, of Oakdale died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at his home. He was born October 6, 1928, to Alfred and Julia (Hansen) Dahle. He grew up in Oakdale and was a member of the Tomah Senior High School Graduating Class of 1947.

   He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War Period. Harry was united in marriage to Alice Rudoll on Dec 27, 1953, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. After they were married, they moved back to Oakdale to help his mother operate the Oakdale Motel. He worked at Fort McCoy as a security guard and as a fireman for 28 years, until his retirement in August of 1987.

   He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, especially the trips to Canada, and trapping. He served on the Oakdale Fire Department and was a member of the of the Sportsman’s Club. Harry was very proud of Oakdale. He lived his whole life there and was affectionately known as the “Mayor of Oakdale.”  He enjoyed visiting with his many friends and neighbors. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.

   He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alice, his children, Linda (Simba) Brueggeman of Tomah, Mark (Jody) Dahle of Minoqua, DeeDee Birkholz of Wisconsin Dells, 3 grandchildren, Ethan Dahle, Payton and Sydney Birkholz, a sister-in-law Judy Rudoll  of Rosemount, MN, many other relatives and friends.

   He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Belvin and Winifred Dahle, and a brother-in-law Ronald Rudoll.

   A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave. Tomah. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery.

   Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday at the church from 10:00 A.m. until the time of the service. Online condolence may be sent to www.sonnenburgfamilyfh.com. The Family Requests that memorial s be given to the Tomah Hospice Touch and St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Harry’s name.
