SPARTA-Elaine “Beverly” Lisney, 95, of Sparta, died on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Rolling Hills Assisted Living in Sparta. She was born on January 10, 1929, to Edmund and Ethel (Powell) Anderson, in Richland County, WI.
On October 24, 1946, she married Leo M. Lisney. They were married for 51 years, until his death in 1998.
Beverly was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, a wonderful homemaker, and a loving mother and grandmother.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; brother, Harold Anderson; sisters-in-law, Laila Anderson, Ruth (Harold) Powell, Buena (Morris) Taylor, and Phyllis (Jay) Anderson; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Jeannette) Lisney, Paul (Barbara) Lisney, Alton Lisney, and Reginald McCauley; and several nieces and nephews.
Beverly is survived by her son, Kevin (Janet) Lisney, of Sparta, WI; daughter, Kenda Lisney, of Onalaska, WI; grandchildren, Michelle (Travis) Stair and Jennifer Jackson; great-grandchildren, Abigale (Troy Callahan) Jackson, Jacob Stair, Caleb Stair, and Alexander (fiancée Lorinda Schwartz) Jackson; and great-great-grandchildren, Gianna and Eli Callahan; sisters-in-law, Donna McCauley, Mary (Michael) Conner, and Jean Lisney; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 612 N. Water St., Sparta, WI, with Pastor Lucy Hardie officiating. Family and friends are invited for a Visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at the church.
An additional Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Five Points Lutheran Church, 25925 Five Points Drive, Blue River, WI, with Pastor Larry Engel officiating. A Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday, at the church. Burial will be in Five Points Cemetery, Blue River, WI.
