WARRENS - Craig S. Handy, 55, of Warrens, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 10, 1965 to Russell and Linda (Katzenberger) Handy in Tomah. He grew up in the Wyeville area and was a member of the Tomah Senior High School Graduating Class of 1983. Craig was united in marriage to the love of his life, April Brown on February 21, 2009.

He was a hard worker, dependable, and “master of all trades”, who was known to fix anything and everything when anyone called needing help. Known for his creativity and ingenuity, Craig always had a project in the works. Growing up, he worked with his dad’s roofing company, construction, woodcutting, and crop farming. After high school, Craig joined the U.S Army Reserves. He was employed at Gebhardt’s Manufacturing and most recently at NORBCO as their Service Manager for the past 20 years. He loved working in the farm technology industry, which took him all over the United States.

In his teen years, his loves were hunting and cars. He took his trophy “buck of a life time” at 16 and took pride in his Impala Convertible, Firebird, and Camaro. Throughout the years, Craig enjoyed watching the Packers, farming, hunting, fishing, trapshooting, spending time up North, working on old trucks, and just relaxing on the deck listening to the Brewers.

He thought the world of and took great pride in his kids and grandkids who he loved to spoil. Memories were made taking family swimming, and ski trips, camping, and road trips with the classic trucks. He passed on his love of hunting to his kids and grandkids and was there for every hunt. He was a proud, humble, and private man who would do anything for others. He was a beautiful soul, who knew and touched so many with a quick belly laugh and smile.

He is survived by his wife of 11years, April Handy of Wyeville; his mother Linda Handy; his children Jessie (Randy) Burton, Josh (Jessica) Handy, Harley Brown, Kyle Handy, Becca Handy, and Hannah Libbey; grandchildren Reiley and Ryker Burton, Malorie and Zander Handy; sister, Renae (Allan) Blaschke; brothers-in-law, Glen (Diane) Pergande, Bruce Pergande, Mark (Rose) Pergande, Alan Pergande and Dale (Dena) Brown; nieces, nephews, other relatives; and many dear friends including Bob, Dutch, Mike, and Emily; and his beloved pet, “Trigger”.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell J. Handy; mother-in-law, Carol J. Brown; grandparents, Fern and Floyd Handy, Helen and Ernest Katzenberger; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

According to Craig’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
