Tuesday night, the Cashton Fire Department was called for a structure fire on Irish Ridge Rd near Parker Rd. “The structure was right at the end of our district, it was actually Ontario Fire Department’s fire, but we fought it as well,” said Cashton Fire Chief Al Erickson.
Fire crews from Westby, Cashton, Ontario, and La Farge were called in to help haul water.
No injuries were reported.
Cashton Fire Chief Al Erickson said, “it was an Amish furniture store workshop, and the building is a total loss.” The workshop was located at E11742 Irish Ridge Rd and owned by Jacob P. Schrock.
The fire is under investigation. The Herald will share more information as it becomes available.
